NPRO collaborates with Marinreperatørene

Since the summer of 2022, Norwegian Property has collaborated with Marinreperatørene, a non-profit foundation that works to clean, preserve, and repair the Inner Oslo Fjord.

Local actions that have positive global effects

Marinreperatørene is a non-profit foundation that works to clean, preserve, and repair the Inner Oslo Fjord.

NPRO's sustainability strategy encompasses Sustainable Development Goal 14, Life Below Water, and the collaboration with Marinreperatørene aligns as an initiative in this area. Similar to NPRO, Marinreperatørene believes in local actions that can have positive global effects.

In addition to cleaning both above and below the water, Marinreperatørene engages in concrete environmental measures and projects in the sea. The common feature of these projects is their potential to be scaled up and adopted by other coastal areas in Norway.

They have contributed to securing larger areas for lobster conservation, provide education about marine pollution, and deploy artificial reefs and lobster houses to ensure biodiversity in the fjord.

Marinreparatørene is dedicated to creating a shared understanding of the fjord's challenges among its users, with the goal of seeking solutions to restore some of the rich life the fjord once had.

Norwegian Property

Take responsibility for preserving the fjord

Norwegian Property's property portfolio consists of coastal locations at Aker Brygge and Fornebu, as well as locations along the river in Nydalen. Therefore, the company seeks to take extra responsibility for preserving the fjord and making it a pleasant place for visitors and tenants.

We are pleased to have established this collaboration and support an actor who can assist us in our sustainability strategy, providing valuable learning experiences and benefiting our fjord.

To prevent runoff from our properties, we have well-established waste management procedures, in addition to collaborating with Marinreperatørene, both on the Aker Brygge premises and other properties in our portfolio.
